Through literature review of previous studies, this paper clarifies the concept and contents of “entrepreneurship development” and its role in knowledge sharing from universities to the industry and society. Results of the case study at Vietnam National University Hanoi reveal that the actual impact of entrepreneurship development in universities on knowledge sharing is still limited due to several external reasons. Therefore, it is necessary to have policies and favorable mechanism that promote knowledge sharing through entrepreneurship development. Moreover, some proposed suggestions are applicable in Vietnam universities to perfect the university governance model and promote knowledge sharing in the new development period
