GKM’s outstanding achievements in 2018 and the development plan for 2019

TEN HIGHLIGHT EVENTS OF 2018 & THE IMPLEMENTATION PLAN FOR 2019 ACTION PROGRAMS OF GKM VIETNAM

1. Robusting the application of the programs in consulting and training for CEOs and mid-level managers on Made in Vietnam Lean Management , and developing the community of lean-management enterprises for the improvement of productivity, quality and sustainable development

In 2018, GKM has played an important role in realizing the objective of robusting the application of  Made in Vietnam Lean Management in which the program of  Made in Vietnam Lean  Management CEO (level 1) obtained a great growth of 150% in comparison with 2017’s result in term of quantity. Together with 22 other training courses of GKM Lean Institute, Made in Vietnam Lean Management has been introduced to about 1,000 of CEOs, mid-level managers of companies and organizations in all of the three regions of Vietnam including the companies of  Anova, Novaland, Vietnam Paper Corporation (Vinapaco), Mitsubishi Corp Vietnam, Lao Cai Branch of Copper Refining Company, MECI, Agrimedia, Ecoba ENT, Tan Phat Automation JSC, Seico Group, SSP Moulding, Me Tran Binh Xuyen, Hanoi Plastic Bag JSC, Viet Chuan, NC Networks, PVN, Economica, Utech, AVC, Care Home, Seika Mart, Bac Ninh Multi-department Hospital, Hoan My International Hospital, Navy Medical Institute and so on.

In addition to the role of robusting Made in Vietnam Lean Management, the training programs of GKM Lean Institute including  Made in Vietnam Lean Management CEO is also a platform for connection, sharing problems and actual stories of the participating entrepreneurs.

The training programs have contributed to form and develop the community of enterprises having TAM THE and perform with Made in Vietnam Lean Thinking in order to create the Made in Vietnam products and services, and provide the real contribution to the development of people, enterprises/ organizations and the society.

In 2018, GKM also completed 2 major consulting projects on the application of Made in Vietnam Lean Management for Vietnamese enterprises, further affirming the effectiveness of Made in Vietnam Lean Management as the sustainable management foundation for Vietnamese businesses.

2. Successfully deploying the GKM Service’ Family Management Consultation Program

In 2018, GKM launched the Family Management Consultation Program of  GKM Service. The program is formed on the basis of applying Made in Vietnam Lean Management into the family area. The Family Management Consultation Program consists of two main contents: Organizing for lean living space and Children development orientation.

The Family Management Service has received a lot of orders and greatly appreciated due to the novelty and special effectiveness that makes family life really more ecological and scientific.

3. Opening the HOMES Store No.1 of GKM Service

As part of the plan of providing solutions for applying Made in Vietnam Lean Management into family, in 2018, GKM has opened the GKM HOMES Store No.1 to provide supporting solutions for the service of organizing for living space.

4. Completing the E-learning system introducing the online training programs on Made in Vietnam Lean Management applied for family management and business management

In order to introduce the methods of Made in Vietnam Lean Management to many different groups among the society for study and application, in 2018 GKM completed the GKM E-learning Program.

Through GKM E-learning, GKM will introduce to learners the basic contents on management for enterprises/ organizations and families.

5. At The Vietnam Economic Forum – 2018 Made in Vietnam Lean Management was selected to be the foundation and method for the improvement of productivity and quality aiming to sustainable development

On the January 11, 2018, “Made in Vietnam Lean Management for the Improvement of Productivity and Sustainable Development” has been introduced at The Vietnam Economics Forum – 2018. This is the largest official economic forum of the year organized by the Party’s Central Economic Committee with the presence of the Prime Minister, representatives of ministries, representatives of international organizations in Vietnam, large enterprises and corporations of Vietnam. The forum is where the Government listens to the advice of leading experts from inside and outside of the country on methods to develop the country’s economy.

At its presentation GKM Lean Institute has introduced to 500 participants about Made in Vietnam Lean Management System as the foundation and the method for improving productivity and quality aiming to the sustainable development.

At the forum, participants agreed to improve productivity as a mandatory path to develop the country and a special necessity in the coming period of Vietnam. Therefore, the solutions, especially the wide-ranging individualization solutions such as Made in Vietnam Lean Management are extremely valuable and necessary. This is the foundation to promote the national productivity improvement movement from 2018-2019 onwards.

Through the speech at the forum, GKM has contributed a part of its efforts to the goal of serving the country, towards the development of the country through practical and concrete actions.

6. There are no limits of the application of Made in Vietnam Lean Management for improving productivity and quality

During 3 days from Sept. 11 to Sept. 13, 2018, GKM Lean Institute organized a Level 2 training course for Lao Cai Branch of Copper Refining Company under Vietnam Minerals Corporation. The level 2 training course is a continuation of the successes achieved from the 2017 Level 1 training course.

Thank to the successful application of level 1 training in 2017, the Made in Vietnam Lean Management has been so appreciated by the Board of Directors of Vietnam Mineral Corporation (Vimico) and Coal Mining Group (Vinacomin) for its relevance and and effectiveness that it was agreed to allow Lao Cai Branch of Copper Refining Company to continue implementing the training on Made in Vietnam Lean Management – Level 2 in 2018. The corporation also asked the Branch to have a long-term and specific plan to apply the Made in Vietnam Lean Management in parallel with the implementation of the development plan of the Corporation in the period of 2019-2021.

The successful lessons of Lao Cai Branch of Copper Refining Company are the affirmation that there are no limits in the application of Made in Vietnam Lean Management to improve productivity and sustain the development. Not only private enterprises but also 100% state-owned enterprises such as Lao Cai Branch of Copper Refining Company, Vietnam Paper Corporation… can implement and apply this effectively.

7. Promoting Made in Vietnam Lean Management at the largest state-owned enterprise of Vietnam

On Nov. 15, 2018, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Dang Minh, Chairman of GKM Lean Institute, provided a training session for more than 70 senior officials from 36 member units of Viettel Group. The training program was organized in the “Enlightenment Hall” at Viettel Academy with the theme “Made in Vietnam Lean Management for the Improvement of Productivity & Sustainable Development in Viettel”.

After the successful training and consultancy at THACO Truong Hai Auto Corporation which is the leading private corporation of Vietnam, Made in Vietnam Lean Management now continues to demonstrate its practical and effective magnetism to Viettel, the leading state-owned company of Vietnam.

8. Export Vietnam’s intellectual products

On January 24, 2018, the Japan National Policy Research Institute organized a special seminar for Made in Vietnam Lean Management. At the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Dang Minh introduced Made in Vietnam Lean Management with researchers and entrepreneurs who have been and will be doing business in Vietnam.

Chaired the workshop, Prof. Kenichi Ohno said that Made in Vietnam Lean Management and the TAM THE is really an important foundation for businesses and organizations to operate effectively. According to the professor TAM THE is a business philosophy that is needed to help not only businesses in Vietnam but also can be applied in many parts of the world in different circumstances. It is a special intellectual product of Vietnam and needs introducing to many more people.

9. Japanese and Korean entrepreneurs refer to Made in Vietnam Lean Management model to improve business effectiveness in Vietnam

On October 25, 2018, at Lotte Hotel Hanoi, GKM Lean Institute introduced Made in Vietnam Lean Management for improving productivity and quality to the Associations of Business Leaders of Japan and Korea in Vietnam. This is a special sharing session organized by the proposal of Mr. Tetsu Funayama, President and CEO of Mitsubishi Corp. in Vietnam after attending the Made in Vietnam Lean Management CEO training Course  No. 34.

The sharing session is the affirmation that the Vietnamese enterprises or the enterprises from Europe, US or Northeast Asia doing business in Vietnam should be able to refer to the model of Made in Vietnam Lean Management if they want to improve the quality of doing business.

10. Signed a strategic cooperation agreement with ISmart Technology Company (Japan) in the field of 4.0 technology

In 2018, GKM Vietnam Company and ISmart Technology Company (Japan) agreed on a strategic cooperation on deploying IoT technology solutions (4.0) on the foundation of Made in Vietnam Lean Management in the practice of manufacturing enterprises in Vietnam.

Promoting the strengths of both sides, the synchronous solution combining Made in Vietnam Technology Management of GKM Smart Manufacturing Institute and the IoT technology of ISmart Technology will bring practical results to customers. Start from 2019, GKM Vietnam will be the exclusive distributor of IoT hardware solutions of ISmart Technology in Vietnam market.

OPERATION PLAN OF GKM VIETNAM IN 2019

With the philosophy of creating Made in Vietnam Lean Management and making life better, GKM Vietnam continues to implement action programs to realize its philosophy, we are looking forward to your companion and supporting.

1. As for training and consultancy services

• Organize 5 Made in Vietnam Lean Management CEO courses (level 1) in 2019;
• Organize 2 Made in Vietnam Lean Management CEO courses (level 2) for CEOs who have completed the Made in Vietnam Lean Management courses at level 1;
• Organize In-house training for 50 businesses across the country to apply Made in Vietnam Lean Management for improving productivity and quality towards sustainable development;
• Organize 10 programs of Orientation for the development of children’s careers in the Made in Vietnam Lean Management System.

2. As for service

• Introduce family management consulting service to many more Vietnamese families;
• Continue to expand the scale and number of GKM HOMES Stores to provide Made in Vietnam Lean Management solutions for Vietnamese families;
• Create more products and consultancy services for connecting the foreign businesses with Vietnam.

3. As for research

• Study and replicate the application of Made in Vietnam Lean Management to the larger scale in education and health care sectors.

4. As for production

• Start collaborating with entrepreneurs in a lean business community to jointly invest research and produce smart products used in the life of Vietnamese families.

5. As for the social contribution

• Deep participation in National programs on quality improvement;
• Organize wide-ranging seminar programs on Made in Vietnam Lean Management to many types of audience;
• Broader communication about Made in Vietnam Lean Management on mass media such as newspapers, television, etc.
